Continuing the Web of Life theme are some of my woven clay forms. Each form related to the strength of the interconnections of the Web and the fragility of the whole.

Vessel forms and landforms dominate this section of my works. All are handwoven from stoneware and porcelain clays and some are glazed whilst others remain unglazed for an 'earthier' or more fragile feel.

My next series relates to Genetic Engineering and reflects my concerns about the effect this may have on plant life.Using porcelain to evoke fragility and stainless steel to embody the idea of the permanence of changing Nature to suit ourselves.A dangerous practice that may have untold effects on future generations.

The image below is called "astrogations" and is made of Porcelain and glass.

Seaform- undersea series. Greenware.
